Weird, high strangeness story. The "missile defense contractor" really sticks out to me and 'goggles' go hand-in-hand with the military. Alot of spooky mystery sightings & killings have happened in that rural area over the decades, and just to the east is Donner Pass. I can't help but think of that costume figure similar to the Zodiac killer that terrorized northern Calif 5 years later.
