Reminds me of the cops where I'm from. After a hurricane city police pulled up in the driveway and told us if anyone tries to rob us or the neighbors to shoot first and ask questions later- no charges would be filed. Sheriff's deputy told my mom if anyone tried to break in to shoot them, drag them inside and then call them and say "I felt in fear for my life!" and they would handle the rest.
