I find the whole alien invasion thingy stupid. Minerals and anything else we can think of are available all over the universe either on uninhabited worlds or those pesky numerous asteroids. Unless they are after women 
Gas clouds of alcohol and just about anything else we can think of (even the building blocks of known life) are there for the taking if we ever can get off this Egg with a real robust space program. Rockets are not going to cut it IMO but at least they are a start. We need a real breakthrough in propulsion unless the secret space program some claim we have does indeed exist, which is doubtful IMO.
I spent 55 years flying and never saw a darn thing I could not explain...... and way back when, I looked with great better than 20/20 eye sight. Makes one feel like a reject....
