This is a tough one. I feel like all 3 could be true, and I also think the most outlandish (Claim #2) is just too obvious. I also know Mel Kiper, and know he hates seafood (or is that just me warming up for my next narrator job? 
)
So, although I agree with @"IAMTAT" and am leaning towards #2, I'm going to pick Claim #1 instead.
And I also don't mean this to sound like somebody is lying about their service (much respect, and Thank You), I'm just trying to keep the game interesting (i.e. probably lose this round in the process...)
