George Floyd Riots - Staged Event?

@"Ninurta", that sounds like the way it was where I was raised. We didn't like "ferners" coming in to our small community either. It didn't take people coming in to buy summer homes long to realize they weren't welcome. We had our own ways and we didn't want change. They would stay a year or so, and then sell out. Guess they got tired of the evil stares that got from their neighbors. 


When I go back to visit these days, things are completely different. Most all the people I grew up with have moved out (like me), or they're dead. Vacation homes have been built on mountain tops to allow for the beautiful scenic views, and large lots of land have been cleared to sell to "ferners" to build houses where thick forests used be.

I don't recognize much of anything being as it once was. As people moved out and died off, those left became more tolerant of others moving in, but one thing remains... there are still children of true "mountain people" there and you best not mess with them.

Yeah, the nature of life is constant change, even out here. The mountain I live on used to be 200 feet taller and covered in forest top to bottom. Mining company came in and took the top 200 feet of it to somewhere else so they could get at the coal under it. The top is relatively flat now, no forest just grassland, and has an upscale housing development there with a convenient nearby fire station.

A couple miles down the road in the other direction, they are right now putting in a superhighway going from Sacramento, CA to Virginia Beach, VA - part of a superhighway going the entire distance across America. I don't much care for that, since it's a pipeline for communists to get directly at us, so I'm thinking it may be time to move a little deeper into the forest.

There are only so many booby traps you can set for the sons of bitches when they are able to come in mass like that.
