Many of the ass-clowns on both sides of the political divide do these sorts of things in hopes of sparking off the next civil war. I see no mention of that in his alleged "manifesto".
It does appear to me that what has become the standard template for these mass shootings was followed.
I'm not going to say much more until the dust settles, the bodies stop falling, and the inevitable casualty lists come out.
ETA: I still think the next war is coming this year. Not because of dizzy dumbasses who think they can spark it off, but instead because the Left is getting increasingly desperate, and are beginning to think that is the only way they can dislodge President Trump before he makes the country free again, and they have to start all over from scratch... and because the Left's desperation is going to make the Right very, very nervous. It's a little like lighting a cigarette when you live in a powder keg.

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.
Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
