CNN busted when sharp-eyed viewers notice something odd about this “rescue”

This video shows the shorts/trousers crime better and I noticed in the Comment Section
that someone asked the same question as I did... why have the rescued man sitting on
the tail-gate of a vehicle going to his hotel?


Purely for the optics?!

You can tell the whole thing was rehearsed (at least the script). He was much too calm in the tone of his voice, but he tried.  

What gets me is him saying the man turned right into the water because it looked like a road.  Are you kidding me?
Anyone SHOULD be able to see the difference between flowing water and a road.
Unbelievable!
