I was told after having a deep personality assessment done that I would make a great crime negotiator because I can see both sides of the argument. And, that holds true in this case.
I don't think allowing people to continue their addiction like this to be the way to go about it, no, not at all.
On the other hand, I've seen co-workers who broke into other's lockers and take their medicine to get their next "fix". These people needed their medication to function properly, but all they could think of was themselves.
If it would stop the crimes where these addicts steal and kill others for drugs, then that might be a good thing.
Just let them kill themselves slowly, instead of killing or hurting the innocent.
