Shoutbox Wannabe.
I took Grace to her doctor today, and his office is right across from the hospital. Saw one of my sisters while I was there. She got blown up - she and a co-worker got caught in an explosion at work. Burned her face, mostly, Looked mighty rough, but getting better. This happened last Tuesday, and the first I heard of it was today. Living out in the sticks and not sitting on Facebook constantly has it's disadvantages I reckon.

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

If my Chron's disease is due to an ancestor having survived the Black Death, maybe it is also why I did not get COVID. ?????

Quote:You might have Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis or lupus because your ancestor survived the Black Death, study says.

A team examined ancient DNA from the bones of Black Death survivors and found four genes associated with modern disorders.

https://fortune.com/2022/10/19/black-dea...tis-genes/

Could be. Many don't understand just how much influence genes have over not just physical traits like hair and eye color, but also strengths, vulnerabilities, and even emotional state. I've been laying off to make a thread on a discovery i read about a few nights ago - apparently, there is a particular codon that has been found in people in general, but which is missing from people who have psychic types of experiences.

Link 1

Quote:The results of pedigree and segregation analyses demonstrate that second sight seems consistent with an autosomal dominant inheritance pattern, especially for small family sizes. Though certain aspects of the data favoured a social and cultural model, it was argued that they were still consistent with second sight having an underlying genetic component. The importance of other studies examining the pedigrees of second sight in different cultures was stressed. If similar inheritance patterns were observed in disparate cultures, this would provide further scientific support for the view that second sight is hereditary. It was speculated that second sight may be part of a creative mental process and what may be hereditary is the way information is received and processed by the brain and expressed in different sensory modalities.

Link 2

Quote:It is commonly believed that psychic ability, like many mental and physical traits, runs in families. This suggests the presence of a genetic component. If such a component were found, it would constitute a biological marker of psychic ability and inform environmental or pharmacologic means of enhancing or suppressing this ability.

and, from the same link:

Quote:Results

Sequencing data were obtained for all samples, except for one in the control group that did not pass the quality controls and was not included in further analyses. After unblinding the datasets, none of the protein-coding sequences (i.e., exons) showed any variation that discriminated between cases and controls. However, a difference was observed in the intron (i.e., non-protein-coding region) adjacent to an exon in the TNRC18 gene (Trinucleotide Repeat-Containing Gene 18 Protein) on chromosome 7. This variation, an alteration of GG to GA, was found in 7 of 9 controls and was absent from all psychic cases.

I'm still trying to find the specific SNP mentioned, to see if it is one of the ones reported in commercial DNA testing. That might be both a blessing and a curse to those tested.

The Black Plague - Chron's DIsease-Lupus-rhewumatoid arthritis connection makes sense to me. Genes coding for an overactive immune system should provide protection from a lot of pestilential ailments, but when there is nothing there for the immune system to attack, it attacks it's own body, resulting in the afflictions listed. If 30% of the population died during the Plague, then the genes passed on through the living would be more likely to be the ones coding for that warp-drive immune system. That, in turn, would lead to a higher incidence of those autoimmune diseases in modern folks than was found in the general population before that culling.

Other than that, I have no problem with Party Girls, because girls just wanna have fun...

Well, now that you mentioned it...

Quote:Finland’s prime minister has come under sustained criticism after it was revealed she stayed out dancing until the early hours on the weekend despite knowing she had been exposed to Covid-19.

Sanna Marin, 36, apologised on Monday after a gossip magazine published photos of her at a Helsinki nightclub on Saturday night until almost four in the morning, hours after her foreign minister, Pekka Haavisto, tested positive for coronavirus.

Look, i really don't wanna sound like a total party pooper. I understand if a 36 year old Lady is drinking and dancing with friends. It is normal.

But our country is in a deep crisis here, so a sober PM would be kinda nice to have.

From now to the first couple weeks of January, it will be hell.

There have been seven cases of sexual assault in three days, from three different colleges.

All young people away from home for the first time. That just have not been prepared for the kind of evil that runs rampant in this world.

Mommy and Daddy may have given them everything material they may need, but they have prepared them for the wolves that are prepared for them.

Now this is an important message. Basically the most important message in all existence. Thanks Skye.

They are not alright. Kids. Many just wander around talking to themselves, more than before 2020. And we have like 14 year olds here killing each other. Lots of drugs also. It is very painful to know this.

Quote:Prehistoric stone tools found in a cave in Poland 50 years ago have just been identified as some of the oldest ever discovered in the region.

The tools from the Tunel Wielki cave in Małopolska are between 450,000 and 550,000 years old. This dating may allow scientists to learn more about the humans who made them, and their migration and habitation in Central Europe across prehistory.

For example, the timeframe likely means that the tools were made by extinct human species Homo heidelbergensis, usually considered the last common ancestor of Neanderthals and modern humans (us). And it means the region was inhabited by humans at a time that Central Europe's harsh climate would have required significant physical and cultural adjustment.

Thanks. That may distract my mind away from news poo.

About the bigfoot you mentioned earlier. It is just a myth. I really don't think we are gonna discover any more mammals. We discover like bugs and stuff, but no more mammals. They have already been found. But i am not 100% sure and i do my best to maintain an open mind.

How does it feel like, to be a parent?

I know... must be like attempting to describe "yellow" to a color blind person.

Sometimes people ask me how some certain drug feels like. How am i supposed to accurately describe a thing like that?

I am 40 years old here. I think about stuff. It must be great to see the kid smiling. Or eating some good, healthy food. But what when he/she leaves? Outside, to hang out with friends or some shit. It is a nasty world out there. You are a Rogue, you know that. I would be a complete nervous wreck.

Or see him or her graduating from school. That must be wonderful. Pride and joy, i would guess.

Some men are just not meant to be dads. I do not have enough responsibility. But sometimes i wonder "what if...?"

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m Mrs. Elizabeth George. I am a Christian convert. I found your email address through my late husband's internet dater. I am presently admitted at the hospital suffering from blood cancer and Parkinson diseases. My doctor has diagnosed and told me privately what I should expect, building my spirit for the inevitable . He says i may not last for more than few months based on this i have taken the decision to share part of my funds and wealth in contribution to the development of the Church and charity homes,

I selected you after visiting my late husband's internet after having prayed over it, I am willing to donate the sum of $5.600,000.00 USD for your work in developing the Church and to help the poor, needy, and less privileged among your congregations/society. Please note that this fund is deposited in a bank in the country where my husband worked, My lawyer will file the application for the transfer of this money in your designated name and information, after my applications and instructions. I now realize that wealth without life in Christ is vanity and non-sense. Always remember that. May the grace and blessings of God be and remain with you. I shall be waiting for your response.through my email: Mrs.Elizabth1@outlook.com

Regards,
