G'day drussell,

Yep, she has plenty of support and is being waited on.  She is a smart dog and I reckon there'll be no worries after the sutures are removed.

My regards,

Bally:)
Good news so far mate . Give it a couple of weeks and she will be all balanced up and a little stronger  .

Great photos, @"Bally002"

The cat is doing a super job of being a nurse for Girlie.

Cheers

Yeah, I think the cat missed her.  Sometimes inseparable chums those 2.  Cat won't play fetch or dive in the dam with the dog though.  :)

I'm trying to cook a Laksa dish here but I feel like I need a nap.  Girlie is resting nearby.  Her eyes are shut.  Mine are blinking.

Here goes another, cheers,

Okay.  Following your lead.  I'll warn you: I had a great afternoon nap!!

Lol.  I fell asleep sitting up.  Napped for an hour.  Neck was crooked and woke with a headache.  Still, I got dinner done.  Youngest lad now knows how to cook a seafood Laksa.  No excuses any more.  He's turning into a good cook.  I'm going to put a small thread in 'cooking' ? with some pics later.

Now back to another Whiskey.  Cheers to ya.

Bally:)

Woke up this a.m. and saw the dent I put in that bottle.   tinyhuh
'Cause if they catch you in the back seat trying to pick her locks
They're gonna send you back to Mother in a cardboard box

Glad to see Girlie back home with her family. She's been through quite the ordeal, but she'll forget all about it and be back to her old self soon.

I was thinking about Girlie today. I am hoping that all is well with her and she is adjusting well.

I know her buddies are likely not giving her any slack, are loving on her but pushing her at the same time.

For every one person that read this post. About 7.99 billion have not.

Yet I still post.  tinyinlove

Thanks for asking.  I was going to post Part VI after tomorrows visit to the Vet to have her sutures removed.

Occasionally the other dogs have bumped her stump and she has yelped in pain.  We kept her meds up and today she seems fine.  Resting on the lounge.

Spent time sleeping on the other lounge with her to keep her company and help her outside if she had to go.  She would wake me up by licking my face lol.   So outside we'd go and she would hop around in the dark till she found a spot then hop back in the door to be on the lounge near the fire.  The reason I sleep nearby is because I worry about her trying to follow the other dogs and true love up 2 tiers of stairs at bedtime.  First steps are rock then followed by a longer stretch of polished timber on which I'm worried she may slip.

Last night was the first night I slept upstairs with the mob as she is starting to get around fetching balls and sticks and has negotiated the stairs.  'Cat' keeps her company as well.  They all accompany us on morning walks, burning off and cutting timber so essentially it's back to normal except I can't let her near the dams for her favorite pastime of swimming when she used to get hot from fetch.  But I'm sure that will change after the stitching is removed.

She is adjusting well.  Swelling has gone down and color returned to the gash on he mid section.  We took the cone off her head as that caused more trouble for her than it was worth and she leaves the wound alone.

Will update tomorrow or Thursday.

Kind regards,

Bally:)

Yeah, she's a strong beautifully natured dog.  Tomorrow the sutures come out and I get some in at the docs while she's at the Vet lol.
