It reminds me all too well of the Gatlinburg fires in Tennessee last year.  So much loss.

Yeah, we're in a semid arid desert area which actually flooded a Month ago. Lost our fire chief, 2000 attended. Now this.

We're ok tho. We just heard it might be 2 weeks before we can return. But we get a holiday I guess. This is where we are:Sun Peaks

BC my friend. 40 mins North of Kamloops. Our Villa is just past the pointy one on the left. :)

Yup, could be worse...I might have had to pay for it! But the way it is here, the town gives us lodging, clothes and restaurant vouchers for the whole EVAC.

Still want to know what's going on tho. 2 days - 2 weeks is what they're saying now. I just say " Look Honey! I finally brought you on the honey moon we never had." lol

Yes That is what we were taught in Grade School in the 50's and 60's.
But, to tell you the truth, I have so many Korea friends in California that I go to treat once a month, They are just the nicest and caring people.

How close can you get to your home there?
Could you get close enough to fly a little Drone / Hoover craft with a small video camera to see your restaurant?

Lots of questions but here goes:

1. They don't say anything so as to not create panic. If people freaked they might try to go back in to save things at the last minute. Other crappy justifications also.

2. I don't own a drone

3. I don't own a hovercraft

4. Just in case...I don't own a helicopter. lol
