Did Betelguese Replicate Itself? - NightskyeB4Dawn - 08-13-2022 Sharing, because I found this very interesting. It really got my, "What if.....", gears in full engagement. It reminds me strongly that, there is so much that we just don't know. Quote:Massive red supergiant star Betelgeuse is at the end of its life span, at least on cosmic timescales, but the gargantuan fireball is going out kicking and screaming. Quote:Nobody knew until NOW that this was even POSSIBLE!! Let's HOPE the sun NEVER does! RE: Did Betelguese Replicate Itself? - kdog - 08-13-2022 Betelguese has been know for a long time that it could go supernova, maybe in our lifetime, maybe a million years from now with even a threat of life on Earth being destroyed by a gamma ray burst from it. I didn't watch the video yet, just going by memory from years ago researching it. I'll see if I can find my old links, in the mean time , don't say that name 3 times or a creepy version of Micheal Keaton might show up. From 2011: https://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread757802/pg1 RE: Did Betelguese Replicate Itself? - kdog - 08-13-2022 Ok, scratch the gamma ray thing because I guess I have a "false memory " and my 10 year old links don't work anymore. But it still could go supernova and it's easy to find in the night sky . Old lord you found me in my early days. LOL ! RE: Did Betelguese Replicate Itself? - BIAD - 08-13-2022 This us what happens when one says 'Betelgeuse' three times. I read that exact thing not long ago, likely during the 2019 show. Would be so damn cool to witness that in my lifetime, they said it would be bright enough to be visible during the day if I remember right? |
