I pretty much quit listening to music in the '90s. Same thing with TV. Got tired of people putting things into my face I didn't like (rap where music is concerned).
Music is my first love, some of my earliest memories are just songs, I practically spend most of my life with a set of Headphones on. I like a wide range of stuff, but I am not into rap/hip hop! it does absolutely nothing for me, beyond some of the musical elements anyway, so i'd be in agreement.
Music is god's (whomever she may be and wherever you may find her's) way of feeding and enriching our souls. It's the language of love and it's all good. There is no bad music. Some touches you and some moves on to find another home to be cherished within, another person to heal, another opportunity to touch and renew.
