The Privilege they erased from History
#21
So, yeah, I am privileged.

I grew up in a mother father home like a majority of Americans from the mid 60's on. We went to church, but not my dad. I left the church in my early teens for my own reasons. I found religion in the wonders of the universe and in nature.

Most of my family did what they had to do to survive and always pushed the younger generation to do better than they did. Some did better than others, some chose to be lazy instead of becoming independent .

We were pushed to make our ancestors proud of us. We were pushed to do better.

Most of what I have accomplished is from my upbringing. A strong work ethic , a strong moral ethic and a little common sense on how the world works.

What happens to me happens for a reason, and no one owes me anything .

Back in the beginning, back when we discovered fire, if you didn't contribute to the tribe, you got left behind.

So, yeah, I am privileged because I earned it.

I am sorry to hear of this happening to you.

As soon as I took the Naturalized Citizen Oath, the very next day my husband took me gun shopping and then to the local indoor ranges.
I am armed every time I leave my home and even in my Clinic I am armed and if a new patient does not like seeing my SCCY 380. on my side, they can find another Acupuncturist and Herbal Medicine Doctor.

I have had only two new patients in the last 8 years who have questioned my side are and requested I remove it.
Both people just moved here from California.
They are not My Patients.

@guohua thanks for the kind words, it was traumatizing.

After that door was kicked in, we bought a 45 pistol.  Put it under the bed.  Two months later we were broken in on again. The gun was not stolen though. They were startled by us coming home and the doberman across the street ran after the little black angel but couldn't catch him. /sarc.

Congrats on naturalization.  Your husband did a good thing getting you a gun and training.  I don't have training.  So, it's gonna hurt if I shoot someone.

Herbal medicine?  I read your thread on benefits of ginger, very nice.

Thank You, I hope the Ginger information was helpful.
Keep in-mind that if you have bladder infections or kidney problems and if you like corn on the comb like I do. Do not throw out the water.
If you boil your combs in the green husk, don't throw out the water, drink a cup or two, best when it is warm.
Actually, drink for two days at least 8 oz glass twice a day.
Yes you will notice a lightness in your bladder and kidney region.

My husband said the 45. pistol is probably to much gun for you.
The recoil would be a little much for you in an emergency.
The sound would scare most people way.

Put he thinks you should try a 380. or 9mm.
Easier to hold in your hand.
I use the 380. because ,,, well,, I'm Chinese and small.
I really like my new 22.

Here is a handgun that is great, the KEL TEC 22. semi auto for $170., it is a nice American made handgun that comes with the Silencer barrel adapter, I just bought one and my husband bought me the Red Jacket Silencer for it. $125.00 online. Using 45 grain hollow points, two rounds would stop them from wanting to come any closer.

Sorry I'm rambling on and on.

My wife's first handgun was a Ruger SR22, nice little handgun for sure, but I'm concerned about the stopping power.

Shot placement is everything.  While a .22 is more controllable and should therefore be more accurate, if you're in a situation where you're fighting for your life and the adrenalin is pumping, you won't be as accurate as you are at the range.

It took a long time of convincing and going to the range, but I finally got her up to a .380, still working on the 9mm.

A smoother shooting gun will be a heavier gun.  The CZ75B is one I've been eyeballing, all steel construction and the best shooting 9mm I've fired.

Working up is an okay method.  That said, if your wife weighs more than a hundred pounds and has arms (no spaghetti noodles) ... you could have her shooting a full-power .45 in just 15 minutes.  It's all about holding the firearm correctly.

In terms of technique this guy hits almost all of the points anyone needs to hear:

And this guy is great at the practical side of doing it right.

Cheers!!
'Cause if they catch you in the back seat trying to pick her locks
They're gonna send you back to Mother in a cardboard box

We hold those nation builders we admire as examples. We aspire to be like them or to be better in our efforts to achieve 'exceptionalism'. They INSPIRE us to greatness. It is the mind set of the Democrat ideology to keep their minions DOWN, BEHOLDING, Hopeless, trapped the circular activity of looking/begging for the answer to the never changing trumpeting of dispiriting lackluster promises.

Depends on the handgun, actually.

I am 5'3" tall, 125 lbs.

My normal carry is a Glock 21 in a 45 ACP.

My purse gun is a little Ruger Ultralight in a 9mm (and it's cranberry!!).

The 9mm has more kick then my Glock and is harder to get back to center... because it is too light.

My Glock delivers 13 rounds of 185 gr FTX happiness on demand in the middle always.

The Ruger 9mm not so much.

But is it going to ? I cant see that happening. Whichever side wins this "war" that is on the horizon, you're still gonna end up with other half (or sizable percentage) of angry populace. The other side will keep working to dismantle the winner. Just look at what has been happening since 2016. It's not going to stop until a total "destruction" of one side. We all know, ideologies can not be destroyed, and truth in these days hardly matters anymore. The programming of division is so deep now. Perhaps out of reach.

I dont like being negative, but there is little hope of a peaceful solution.

Curious about Croatia.  Are there people there lamenting the passing of Tito's brand of socialism, or is that seen as something that was imposed by the Serbs ?

Yes indeed. There are "leftover" fans of Tito even today in all former Yugoslav republics, but it's never coming back. Too few are left...and only the older generation which lived under Tito and is slowly dying out. Some lament it wasnt bad under Tito, but when he died in '80, it all started to go downhill. I too was a Tito supporter in my younger years. Today, I see it a bit differently, without the rosy socialist glasses. It was a different time back then, country was recovering from a ww2, and socialism was then the right ideology to cure the population. Tito was really a moderate communist. He managed to unite several different nationalities under one flag and he made it work for a while.

We had elections just yesterday, and the Democratic party won. The Dems are conservative right in Croatia, while on the other side there was a coalition of lefties (social democrats, environmentalists, and few minor parties). The left got crushed out of existence. Dems won in all counties but two.

Truth.

At least one of my own forbears was an Irish gal enslaved  by the English in America, owned by the Custis family - of Martha Custis Washington fame. She was "stolen" by another English immigrant named Christopher Nutter, who married her and then carried her off to Maryland  - there are court records still extant to verify this, as poor Mr. Nutter ran afoul of the law by stealing the girl. Not that he gave a fuck about that.

She was "stolen" from slavery before there even were ANY "slaves" in America, either black or white. That didn't happen until Mr Johnson (who was himself a black man, and former indentured servant) much later had his "indentured servant" who happened to be black declared property for life in, as I recall, about 1674. The "1619 Project" is a lie, a damndable lie, which seeks only to hide the history of white slavery in America so that only black slavery shines through the fog of history, as if they have some sort of inherent "slavery privilege".

If that's not good enough, I also have some black slaves(?) in my history. Hell, for all I know, it may have been black folks owning white slaves and "making use" of the females - documented fact, it's a possibility. That isn't an exclusive provenance of "white southern slave holders". The DNA shows some black folks, but so far geneaological research has failed to name them - but DNA don't lie. They're there, I just have no idea who they were, or whether they were actually slaves or not. For all I know, given the history of Mr Johnson and a great many South Carolina black owners of slaves, they might have been the owners.

Oh, BTW - "From the Halls of Montezuma to the shore of Triopoli" in the Marine corps Hymn? That is a commemoration of a war against white slavers in Tripoli, Africa, by the US Marines. Muslims there were still enslaving white Americans in 1802, and that notorious slave master Thomas Jefferson decided to put a stop to it. Which of your history books taught you that?

Seriously. Get over this shit and move onward. Remember your history, but don't be defined by it.

A fifteen year old child started this crap.  No respect.  The North has some real problems.

Based upon the evidence in the video, I would have dropped them in their own footprints, and left no witnesses to dispute me. Seriously - if you're gonna pick a fight, better be goddamned sure you can back your ass up in the aftermath. The complainants obviously picked a fight.

In my neck of the woods, they'd get acquainted with the bottom of an Abandoned mine shaft in short order. Seriously - I care nary a whit what color you are - if you're gonna start a fight, better be able to back your own ass up. I would have left no witnesses or complainants who could still speak to accuse me of bullshit, and clearly, from the video, the accusations were bullshit. the couple in the car were clearly being assaulted, not the two chicks who were assaulting them and "calling the cops".

Thank you Doc.  I have realized that I live where I am for a reason.  The rest of the country, especially the north, has gone bonkers with this race stuff.

I don't hate anyone.  So many of all races have helped me in my life.  They don't like the nonsense either.  I'm super vigilant  and aware of my surroundings all the time.

We have that 2nd Amendment, to bear arms, for just these reasons.

How's it over there.  I've heard trying to pull down Gandhi's statue, Winston Churchhill statue.  And the same rioting, demanding monsters we have here.  It's kinda like when one baby cries, all babies in the general area start crying.   smallfit

I'm leaning toward a 22 or 9mm.  My brother stays with a gun on him 9mm, concealed carry all the time, either on his person or in his truck.  He encourages all of his family to learn to shoot and/or carry.  All this started when I was broken in on.

Tell your husband thanks for the reccomendations, I needed some.

I will do for the corn.  I think they sale cornsilk for kidneys.  I have a book by Kloss 'Back to Eden' all about natural remedies with herbs.  I love this stuff.  Have had this book for over 30 years.

You'll also notice that it's the woke white liberals who use white privilege and they always think they know what's best for minorities. From blacks, to Native Americans, to "browns". They always think they know what's best for them, and will be the first to scream at you and tell you "OH HOW RICH! A WHITE PERSON TELLING A BLACK PERSON HOW TO THINK!!!"

The only people they don't pander to are Asians, because Asians have a culture of independent thinking and hard work. Not to mention the highest IQ average among all races of people.
