I just love Billie Eilish. My hubby actually turned me on to her music. He watched all kinds of YouTube videos with her singing live in concert. Her music takes me to a place. It’s different from most of the pop music of today. She is truly an artist.

Yes ....I totally agree...she gives me the feelz... the kid's got something ( :

Well..if this doesn't match the "mood" lately then I'm not really quite sure what does....

It matches, even over here.

It helps if you play guitar to understand just how good she really is

She's technically phenomenal/. Wonder how she'd do with a band.?

Tom Scholz can only dream of playing that effortlessly. ♡

Because it's preposterously late and I've been drinking and feel like dancing with myself for joy's sake...

You and @"hounddoghowlie" have such knowledge of music!!  I sometimes wonder if you're even cognizant of what you're in such easy command of.

I pretty much quit listening to music in the '90s.  Same thing with TV.  Got tired of people putting things into my face I didn't like (rap where music is concerned).

i did just about the same, music took a real big down turn in the late 80's and 90's as far as radio play. to much bubblegum girl music, effeminate boy bands, caterwauling female vocalist thinking that they had to hit that high note for 2 minutes and it was the shit, and fake atuotuned vocies. nothing that took real talent, which is what makes music worth listening to.

there were some good bands that came out, and some older groups released some good tunes. but radio sucked. that's about the time i (we) switched to talk radio in my old shop. there was only one radio station that played rock back then that we could pick up, but most of what they started playing was thrash metal, punk and some other bs.

enough of that,
i'm feeling like some R&B today so here it goes.

came across this one, it reminded me of my short disco spell. yes i know disco sucked but there were a few good tunes then.

think seeing how it's raining, i'll see about finding the movie and watch, it was funny as hell.

was looking for car wash movie and found this song,

and it reminded me of my favorite scene in Shrek 2.  cat nip, that's not mine

Music is my first love, some of my earliest memories are just songs, I practically spend most of my life with a set of Headphones on. I like a wide range of stuff, but I am not into rap/hip hop! it does absolutely nothing for me, beyond some of the musical elements anyway, so i'd be in agreement.

Music is god's (whomever she may be and wherever you may find her's) way of feeding and enriching our souls. It's the language of love and it's all good. There is no bad music. Some touches you and some moves on to find another home to be cherished within, another person to heal, another opportunity to touch and renew.
