#Hillaryforprision trends on twitter amid accusations of censorship

Supporters of Donald Trump managed to get one of their favorite rallying calls, "Hillary for prison," trending on Twitter on Monday. Or rather, they got "#HillaryForPrision" to trend. Eagle-eyed readers (and elementary school teachers) will notice an extra "i" has snuck in behind the "s" in prison. That's intentional, CNET reports.

Trump supporters claim Twitter is automatically preventing "#HillaryForPrison" from appearing in the trending topics list, so they had to generate a misspelled hashtag in order to slip by the censorship.

(Twitter previously told the Huffington Post that it doesn't censor political discourse, saying that some hashtags simply aren't as popular as users might think.)

A quick scan of the hashtag will reveal plenty of Trump supporters explaining the hashtag, amid a smattering of Clinton supporters mocking the spelling error.

Oh yeah, that hashtag is very popular, even before the latest FBI email news.

 Normally when you start typing a hashtag, if it is common, different choices will show up and you click on the one you want.
But as you can see, the one for #Hillaryforprison is not showing up now....however #hillaryforjail is and works just as well for me.





That is odd that it no longer shows up as an option. Or at least not at this moment. You can still manually type it in there tho.

I suppose there's only a few options to why Twitter are curbing this popular manner
of showing one's disdain for a candidate and support for another.

1. A legal reason tied to libel.
2. Accedence to political correctness.
3. An executive decision connected to showing a neutral political incentive.
4. Twitter are part of the over-all social control agenda that looks to favour a affluent breakaway group.
5. Some form of advertising vehicle.

My lucky number is 4.
