No. The American People can no longer expect any protection from the American military. I've been watching that closely. There will be NO assistance from that quarter, and when push comes to shove there will be open hostility from them. Not only is their paycheck under threat, but the opposition is hard at work changing their political composition and philosophy from defense of the people to subjugation of same.
The US military is at this very moment being transformed into the very thing the Founders feared when they warned against the dangers of maintaining a standing army. The ONLY uses for such an organization is pursuit of "foreign relations" of a type that the Founders never wanted to see, by force, OR keeping the proles at home under the thumbs of the Oligarchs. There is no other reason, besides those two, to maintain one in peace time for a nation like the US, insulated as it is from most of the world by two oceans.
The US military is not a "defense force", unless you count the maintenance of the financial and political interests of the oligarchy to be a legitimate "defense". The only defense of the People is, and always has been, from the People themselves.
Anyone who expects help coming from the US military at this point needs to get to work sewing up their white flags so that they are not caught unawares and shot on sight for lack of having one.

No. There would first have to BE a tribunal before a "death sentence" could be decreed. There will be no tribunals - at least not the kind you seem to be thinking may come. The ONLY danger that the people you view as opponents will ever encounter will come from the People. it will never, EVER come from any portion or organ of the system.
The System will continue to protect and shield it's own. "Patriot" types should already be geared up to do the same, because it is too late to start organizing now. If they are not already ready, The System has now consolidated enough power to insure that they never will be.
