This is related to what worries me the most about the "defund the police" debacle. We know that cops have been quitting in droves due to being ordered not to deal with rampant crime, which is what they were hired for to begin with. It conflicts them to be hired to do something and then ordered not to do it, and who needs that kinda stupid stress? So they quit, and either go private like I did, or enter another field altogether.
But having worked in and around that field, I know there is a certain class of person waiting in the wings for their moment to shine, and that class of people are just yearning to set their inner jackbooted thug free. Some of them occasionally slipped through the cracks and we had to weed them out in the field, but once decent intelligent folks wise up and stop applying to fill the vacancies, those folks with the inner jackboots will be all we have left to enforce law, Junior Grade Brownshirts. The FBI appears to be already replete with them, especially in their undercover sections.
Not only did they plan, infiltrate, and direct the Jan 6 action, they were also heavily involved in the Whitmer Kidnap plot, to the tune of half of the snatch squad being FBI Brownshirts, with the other half being in the dark about it.
My advice to anyone involved in any militia, or planning any liberty support activity, is to go "lone wolf". Individual action without broadcasting it is the only way to avoid working with potential FBI agent provocateur brownshirts and getting yourself dumped in the grease needlessly.
There was a guy named Thomas Chittum who wrote a book about this, and the balkanization of the US, years ago called "Civil War II". He seems to have seen it coming. He focused on racial issues that he said was going to divide America and balkanize us, and entirely neglected the underlying Marxism driving the racism, but it's a good book if you can keep that in mind as you read it.
