I love the remake! It far outstrips the one we wrote lo, those many Christmases ago! You may not believe this, but it actually DID bring a tear to my eye! 
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.
