Sounds like an old tactic that hunters used back in prehistory to drive game to a certain location for an easy kill.
As I have been watching this closely, the fires started east of interstate 5 , then I started seeing fires start west of there, west of Salem. There is a bigger picture of what is happening then what is being released.
