I don't know about all this "secret space program" business, because I have never seen nor heard anything that would lead me to believe it's even a possibility (scientifically, specifically physically), much less a reality, but what I DO know is that several years ago, government computers were ridiculously easy to get into, all "internet facing" with virtually nothing in the way of security, frequently not even a firewall. If you could get their IP address (a trivial thing to do at the time), you could get in and rummage around for the gold with no problem. Most of their "security" was simple scripts that attempted to trap you, mislead you, or block access to certain file paths.
The irony was, at the time, that if you ran into one of those scripts, you knew there was something on the other side they didn't want folks to have, so of course if you were a "hacker", that was like shit for flies. You'd poke around until you got it.
