The UK Assimilating With Today's World.
#88
Just as a add-on and another indication -in my view, of what's really been going on at the BBC, a reasonably
-said unknown Editor has been handed her P45.

Not a big-deal -some may, say considering the recent announcement of job-cuts at the art-deco-fronted building
in Portland Place, London. But I believe that the publicly-funded broadcasting company is now quietly dumping
news-orientated people who were brought in to cast a certain narrative and attempted to convince those who pay
for this outfit to see the world in a particular manner.

Since the moment Donald Trump was announced as the new President of the United States, the established media
have reported that everything he and his administration have been done was negative. Never a day goes by without
an article that Trump's way is the wrong way and the BBC have done their part in supporting the anti-populism that's
always been there in the general public.

Even Wikipedia cannot just call it 'popularism' it must be prefixed with 'Right-Wing' and then explained thus:
'...In Europe, the term right-wing populism is used to describe groups, politicians and political parties
that are generally known for their opposition to immigration, especially from the Islamic world, and for
Euroscepticism. ... Right-wing populism in the United States is also closely linked to paleoconservatism...'

Again from Wikipedia.
(Paleoconservatism, a conservative idea that stresses tradition, limited government and civil society,
along with religious, national and Western identity. ... It was used to refer to conservative traditional
Catholics and agrarian Southerners who turned against Communism during the Cold War.)

So basically, those who agree with Trump's political policies don't want foreigners in their country and dislike Muslims.
Wow, where have all these people been hiding...?! These guys and gals brought in Brexit and got Trump elected and
yet the media never mentioned them until CNN announced the hotel and golf-course builder was entering politics.

But the paradigm change aside, it seems that certain areas of how the 'message' has been delivered over the last
few years is being closed down. Let's hope it's all cleared out and forgotten.

Quote:Sarah Sands: Radio 4's Today editor to stand down.

'Sarah Sands is standing down as editor of BBC Radio 4's Today programme after three years.
The news comes a day after it was announced that 450 jobs are to be cut from BBC News under plans to complete
its £80m savings target by 2022.
Sands, who took over the reins of the flagship news show in 2017, said it was "a good time to move on".

Sands previously edited the Evening Standard, where she was replaced by former chancellor George Osborne.

"I have decided that September is a good time to move on from editing the Today programme," she said in a
statement. "I have loved being part of the Radio 4 team and am proud of what we have achieved, championing
intelligent broadcasting and political independence."

She added: "The Today programme is a beacon of news journalism and I wish it and the BBC well."
Other outlets to be hit by the job closures announced on Wednesday include BBC Two's Newsnight, BBC Radio 5
Live and the World Update programme on the World Service.

The official reason for Sands' departure has not yet been confirmed by the BBC.
The 58-year-old made changes to Radio 4's flagship programme, including fashion coverage and the introduction of
Puzzle for Today, a "humiliatingly hard" morning quiz.

Writing in the i newspaper at the time, she said: "The puzzle speaks to the ingenuity of this country. We have a history
of problem solving."...'
BBC:

The idea a sacked-Chancellor of the Exchequer (The Treasury) -George Osborne, could displace this female from being
Editor for The Evening Standard and neither this paper or other outlets cried outrage, shows you how the public has been
insulted and ridiculed for the past three years.

Bastards.
