Here are the police and detectives giving a presser on the Smollett case, for those who haven't already seen this.
The two Nigerian men were released. I don't think they should have been; they were a part of a hate crime, but maybe they made a deal to be freed if they gave evidence against Jussie. That's how it goes when you want to get to the main criminal, so it seems.
I'm starting it on the 31:34 mark. This is where the detective comes on and goes through a timeline of events that led to Jussie's arrest.
