Stabbings In The UK... On New Year's Eve.
#5
I awoke to a new year with a surprise that the BBC happened to have an employee at the train station
at the time of the stabbing incident. Usually, any reference to a religious aspect of -what are becoming
regular crimes, are missed out along with a description of the suspect.

Quote:'...BBC 5 live producer Sam Clack, who had been at the station at the time, said he saw a man stabbed
on a tram platform at the station, which is next to Manchester Arena, "feet from me".

Mr Clack also said he heard the knifeman shouting "Allah" during the attack, along with a slogan criticising
Western governments....'
BBC:

As said in another thread, this statement may be part of the slow change occurring in the UK.
Since the Beeb are seen as the vanguard of diversity in this country, this comment from someone
witnessing the incident is something I never reckoned on.
We'll see.

The Daily Star went further, it reported that:

Quote:'...The BBC producer, from Newcastle, said the suspect was held down, he said: “As long as you keep
bombing other countries this sort of shit is going to keep happening.”...'
Daily Star:

An odd comment to miss out from the BBC's article. But then again, to report this criticism could be viewed
as an alignment of the BBC with Trump's Syrian decision... and we can't have that, can we?!!

The other 'New Year' terrorist-like attack was in Tokyo.

Quote:'...A small van has ploughed into pedestrians celebrating the new year on one of Tokyo's most famous streets.
The man driving the car fled the scene but was later arrested by police for attempted murder.

Nine people were injured, one seriously, by the attacker who struck in the Harajuku fashion district shortly after
midnight. The street, which was sealed off to traffic, was packed with people heading to a shrine for New Year's
prayers.

The 21-year-old driver of the van was identified as Kazuhiro Kusakabe.

Police told broadcaster NHK that he initially told them he had conducted a terrorist act, but then later claimed it
was related to executions. It was not clear if he was referring to a specific execution or capital punishment in
general.

Kyodo news agency cites investigative sources saying a tank of kerosene had been found in his car and that he
had allegedly planned to set the vehicle on fire...'
