Acid Attacks in London

She was about to respond to an emergency call to help an elderly man who had fallen down some
stairs when the attack happened. She said: "I was really shocked. I could not believe that it happened
and I was angry I couldn't respond to the patient who needed my help."

I can't think of a word low enough to describe anyone who attacks an emergency care worker. Attacking ANYONE is bad enough, but this takes the cake!
