Pedogate: US Senator Arrested On Pedophile Charges

US Senator Ralph Shortey is facing multiple pedophilia and child sex trafficking charges after he was arrested in a motel room where he had taken a young boy for sex.

Shortey served as a Republican member of the Oklahoma Senate but has now been stripped of all his assignments and privileges by the Senate following the news of his arrest.

During the arrest, Shortey tried to convince police that he was just "hanging out with a friend", but after seizing his smartphone, evidence was found of him texting children and offering them money in return for "sexual stuff".

The father of the unidentified young boy had called the police after being worried about his son's welfare and a senior Moore Police Department officer, Master Sgt. J. White, was dispatched to a Super 8 in Moore after receiving complaints of Marijuana smoke coming from the motel room, where Shortey was discovered with the minor, according to the police report.

This is the latest in a string of arrests made in relation to pedophilia and child sex trafficking since President Trump vowed to bring the "full force of the federal law enforcement" down on Pedogate.
