Do You Have Psychic Powers?

We had a ghost, or ghosts, where I used to work too.  (I won't go into the stories because someone out there reading this might recognize the place.)
My friend works at a large facility where there is a ghost that likes to play games with her when she's locking up.  As an example, she walks around the room pushing all the chairs up under the desks, and when she gets to the last one, the first one will be pulled out all the way. So she goes to push it in and then goes to do something else, only to see it pulled out again. She said the floor isn't slanted there to make it slide on it's on.
It pulls heavy things off of shelves, blows in people's ear, etc.  She won't use the bathroom at work unless it's a dire emergency because there is always something in there with her.  She said all the security staff hate being in the building alone because they have all had "experiences".

Well, good luck Nin.  At least you have someone else who heard the voice too to validate that you aren't going crazy. minusculethumbsup2

I dunno. A Family Dollar I worked at in Kansas City was haunted, and we caught some of the weird on video - in particular, I recall the back door opening on it's own on tape one Saturday morning. We reviewed the security tapes, and the door had been locked by one of the employees , yet it flew open on it's own and we could see a vague shadow going through it. You could see the shadow against the door, but none on the ground. We watched it open from two different angles, one inside the door and one outside the door, and no one there - just that vague shadow.

That place had an excuse. A few years ago, there was a gang shooting in the alley the door opens on to, and 5 kids were killed in the shooting. Stuff would fly off the shelves at the employees, and things like that, too. One guy who worked there was convinced it was Diablo, and would not be caught there alone for love nor money.

The place I work at now has no such excuse. It has only existed for 6 or 7 years, and the ground it's on was 200 feet underground before that. They chopped off 200 feet of the mountain top. No one has ever died there, at least not for a couple hundred million years. The ground it stands on was just below a 318 million year old coal bed. It's not like the ground is unstable or anything - it's had 320 million years to settle, with 200 feet of rock to help press it down.

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
