Skewed Demographics in Prime Time Broadcast TV Commercials

when it's all about the money?

Because that is what it's all about. The themes they use... whether it's race, gender or sexual acts are just topics
to entice you to watch boob-tube for a couple of minutes more. Pissing a viewer off isn't a worry, many of the
TV pundits and commentators don't even  believe their narratives and understand these debating talking-points
are merely there to entertain.

Listen to any of the 'news-presenters' interview a favoured guest, the questions are so barbed and yet they
say them anyway. It's not because they are dumb, they have vocal tones that have been deemed appropriate
and physical features okayed by media agencies, it's because the network knows the obvious answer will not
be said and this will activate viewers who think something important has been missed.

The subject matter isn't important, it just has to spicy enough to hold your attention.
