Ronald Reagan Shooter John Hinckley Freed From Hospital For Good

'The man who shot President Ronald Reagan in an attempted
assassination 35 years ago has been freed from a psychiatric
hospital for good.

John Hinckley Jr will live with his 90-year-old mother in Williamsburg,
Virginia - but dozens of restrictions have been imposed on his release.

The 61-year-old will have to work or volunteer three days a week,
attend regular therapy sessions, and has been barred from giving
any interviews to the media.

He will be in frequent contact with the Secret Service, and is not allowed
to surf the web for information about his crimes or victims.

Hinckley has also been prohibited from contacting Jodie Foster, as his
infatuation with the actress had spurred him to plan the attack in a bid to
impress her.

These restrictions could be relaxed over the next 18 months if he
makes good progress in the outside world.

In late July, a federal judge ruled that Hinckley no longer posed a danger
to himself or others, and doctors have now said his depression and
diagnosis are in remission.

He had been found not guilty by reason of insanity of shooting President
Reagan and three others outside a Washington hotel in 1981...'
