The rest of your post is spot-on - it's a tempest in a teapot with the Blue-Blood Lords of Nothingness occasionally stirring the pot in an effort to get the dregs to rise to the surface, much ado about nothing for the most part, and none of it really affects any of us if we do not allow it to!
