Look at the words you use, look at the formation of the text. What you write drips of arrogance and superiority. Why do you think people need to be "educated", and why do you think you are the one who can do it ?
Your writings have the flavor of desperation , its as if when you are "educating" people you are trying to confirm something to yourself.
To me and I stress to me you seem very insecure in your life and who you are, unhappy but trapped in the need to present something you are no longer sure about and have not been for a long time.
I have said this to you before, be who you are, be happy.
Could it be that you have surrounded yourself with people who have molded you into what they want not what you want, not who you are and fear they will walk away from you if you start to show doubt in what they want you to be, perhaps you fear they will turn on you.
Its a hard life living and trying to justified a life others want you to be when you want to be something else.
What I want for you and for every one including myself is not to face the horror of when one is dieing , when a person is thinking of the life they have had, that the last thing they think is "I wish I had "
I am not going to get into a war of words with you, I see no reason why I should, I have a life to live

my husband (whoever that is ) and I each have different hobbys which have some measure of importance to our future survival, particularly as we aren't in the well off category. 

His is pretty much anything to do with firearms, and mine vaping. 

I started vaping to quit smoking, but got into the DIY aspects after seeing the potential for it to become cost prohibive for us in our reasonably near future. 

He's always enjoyed firearms as a hobbyist but is likewise boning up on some DIY aspects as well, as he sees potential need there. 

When he starts talking about all things firearms, there are times I wonder how I managed to fall right in the middle of that conversation, and I'm very certain I have heard his eyes roll when I likewise start talking about the ins and outs of coil building and wicking...  

While we appreciate that the other has knowledge we will or may need in the future (or do already need now) what the other knows is just not always that riveting to the other of us. . 

And that's topics that are necessary just to survive in a manner we find acceptable as people without means. (I value nicotine, he appears to value the safety of my nicotine stash... lol)

I said all that just to illustrate this point:

Just because someone is knowledgeable about something doesn't mean they are arrogant, and just because you don't care to learn about a topic doesn't mean that topic isn't useful to know about, especially those which affect us societally.
