The Qur'an thing is amusing. The meaning of the exercise is that she does not want to be associated with the Founding fathers, as they would have never put up with her bullshit, or what she intends to do to the nation they founded.
Her comment, however, that some of them knew more about Islam than current members of congress is spot on, though. There is a reason Jefferson went to war with Islam during his tenure in office... I wonder why she didn't mention that? You know the line in the Marine Corps Hymn that says "From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli"? The "shores of Tripoli" is a reference to that war.
