#1
New year's eve and people will be enjoying themselves.
And we can't have that, can we?

Just In:

Quote:Three stabbed including cop in 'frenzied knife attack' in Manchester

A "FRENZIED" knife attack at Manchester's Victoria Train Station has left multiple people injured,
as people say they feared it was "terror-related".

'At least three people have been stabbed including two members of the public and a British Transport
Police (BTP) officer. They have been rushed to hospital as police remain on the scene.

BTP were called just before 9pm this evening as a man wielding a knife stabbed members of the public.

A man tweeted: "A terrorist attack at Manchester Victoria – crazy".
Another said: "No trams at Victoria due to terrorist attack #Victoria #terrorist #Manchester".
The station is next door to Manchester Arena which was the scene of a deadly terror attack at an Ariana
Grande concert in May 2017.

BTP said in a statement: "Officers are attending Manchester Victoria station following reports of a man
wielding a knife. "We received the call at 8.52pm on Monday, 31 December.
"A man has been detained and two members of the public, a man and a woman have been taken to hospital
with knife injuries. "A BTP officer is also receiving treatment for a stab wound to the shoulder.

"British Transport Police remain at the scene along with colleagues from Greater Manchester Police and the
North West Ambulance Service." The station remains closed and officers are at the scene, police said.

In 2017, Salman Ramadan Abedi, a 22-year-old local man of Libyan ancestry, detonated a suicide vest
–killing 23 people and injuring 139, many of them children.
It was the deadliest attack and the first suicide bombing in Britain since the July 7, 2005 London bombings...'
