The Drone That Hated Christmas!
#3
As Mystic indicates, this 'drone-scare' of Gatwick airport is sounding more-and-more similar to the newspaper-driven
Skripal-Novichok debacle.

Quote:New Gatwick 'drone sighting' turns out to be crane lights.

Police swooped on three suspected drone sightings near Gatwick only to discover they were actually lights on top of
cranes.

'Panic-stricken locals called the police on Sunday night after spotting what they thought were drones flying in the sky in
Redhill, Surrey. It came after a drone sighting brought Gatwick airport to its knees by halting flights for more than 36 hours
earlier in the week.

But when officers investigated Sunday's sighting, around seven miles from the airport, they found the objects were merely
lights attached to cranes. A Surrey Police spokesperson said: "Due to recent events at Gatwick we popped down to investigate
further.

"It was a crane, a crane with an 'aviation warning light' on top. "Mystery solved."
Residents told officers they had spotted a red light hovering above a bus station.
They added it was not moving or making any noise.

Bemused locals flocked to Facebook to mock the incident.
One said: "I'd be surprised if you don't get a call about a strange liquid substance falling from the sky."

Police are still searching for the culprit, or culprits, behind the drone sighting that sparked the Gatwick chaos.
They have even said they cannot rule out there may not have been any drone at all.
Officers had arrested a couple in Crawley, before later releasing them without charge.
The duo said earlier today they feel "completely violated" and said they are receiving medical care...'
