I can't imagine doing this to ANYONE, let alone my own mother. 
The guy was either so full of hate for her that he performed this evil deed, or else he's crazy and needs a padded cell.
It seems we have more and more evil people like this walking the street, or maybe it's just being reported more these days to put people in fear.
I hope he rots in hell, or wherever bad people go.
