Bobby Kennedy Jr. Isn't Sure.

Now I have a question, Who Really, was the Lady in the Polka Dot Dress?
My husband says and he believes she was Sirhan Handler/Accomplish...
There's been the odd suggestion here and there, but the one I'm going with is the lady that John Fahey met at the Ambassador
Hotel early on the morning of June 4, 1968. The same hotel where Robert Kennedy was assassinated two days later.

Fahey was a salesman for the chemical company Cal-Tech and was there to meet a fellow-salesman. However, he arrived
late and missed his meeting. A woman Fahey is quoted as 'a pretty lady' strikes up a conversation with him and they decide
to have breakfast together.

During their morning meal, she tells Fahey that she's only in town for three days. She added that she came from New York City
and originated from a country Fahey failed to hear properly. When pressed later, he suggested Beirut, although he was unware
that a place held such a name.

When Fahey asks her what she’s doing there, she replies cryptically, “Well, I don’t want to get you involved.” And she repeats that
she is not sure she can trust him. The saleman also notices she is very nervous and her hands were sweating.
She continues to tell him they are being watched and followed, which Fahey notices and confirms.  She invites him to accompany
her later that night to the “‘winning reception’ and watch them get Mr. Kennedy.”

He asks her what she means, but she doesn’t say, but just repeats, “I don’t want to get you involved.”

Agreeing to spend the day together, they leave the hotel together via an unobtrusive stairwell that takes them up to the lobby.
The mysterious woman tells Fahey that she knows the hotel stair routes very well although she is not staying there and has been
in town just a few days.
She adds that she has to be back at the Ambassador that night.

They spend the day driving up the coast together and are followed by a man in another car. They stop and have dinner on the drive
back at the Trancas restaurant in Malibu, after visiting Santa Monica.

Researchers have tracked down the eatery and even the young woman who served the pair. A receipt was obtained and it corroborated
what Fahey said they's ordered. The servant was shown a sketch from the description below and confirmed the customer that she served
with Fahey was the same.

At an arranged interview regarding the puzzling encounter, John Fahey describes his new-found obscure friend.
“She looks Caucasian, but has an Arabic complexion, very light….very good English….a little accent when she wants to put it on…
Around 27,28….dirty blond hair ….very pretty….hooked nose.”

Hooked nose... a similar description as Sandra Serrano's, the girl who saw the polka-dot-dressed woman in the stairwell immediately
after the assassination.

During the day, the woman gave Fahey different names, one he recalls as 'Gilda Dean Oppenheimer' and he believes she is obviously
frightened. At one point during their dinner at a restaurant, she asks for Fahey’s assistance in helping her escape to Australia the next
day so “the Chinese can’t get her there.”

There were other strange comments, the girl had suggested that to assist her puzzling escape, perhaps she could get passage on CAT
or Flying Tiger Airlines. A statement Fahey was left confused about, along with the girl mentioning  that she had met someone named
'Mrs. Anna Chennault in New York.'
Odd?

It emerged from research that the Flying Tiger Airlines and CAT were CIA proprietaries.

Later, they part company at the Ambassador Hotel at 7.00 pm. and John Fahey worried about the strange encounter because he's
a married man, although he insisted nothing sexual happened between them.

When Robert Kennedy is killed two days later and the rumour that a woman in a polka-dot dress was possibly involved, Fahey begins
to believe the woman he dined with and the unknown female that fled the hotel with a male friend are one-and-the-same.
Time moves on.

A researcher named Lisa Pease has presented a case that she may have been Shirin Khan, the daughter of Khaiber Khan, a very
suspicious Iranian who had come from New York City to volunteer in Kennedy’s campaign office, Khan was seen with Sirhan a few
days before the assassination.

In one of the photographs taken in the kitchen -seconds before Sirhan Sirhan opens fire with his angry tirade and his eight-shot pistol,
Robert Kennedy is snapped signing an autograph for a bystander called Michael Wayne.

RFK signs poster for bystander Michael Wayne minutes before he is assassinated.

Khaiber Khan had given a ride on the night of the assassination to Michael Wayne, a Sirhan look-a-like who was arrested running out
of the pantry after the shots were fired. Some conspiracists claim Wayne fired the shots -if not the usual suspect security guard Thane
Cesar.

A witness to the assassination -Greg Clayton, had seen Sirhan earlier in the evening with the girl in the polka-dot dress and three other
men. After the shooting he helped tackle the one who looked like Sirhan as he ran out of the pantry, saying, “let me go, got to get out of here.
I am not answering any questions, I am not going to say anything in public.”  That man was Michael Wayne.

From Wikipedia:
"Anna Chennault, born Chan Sheng Mai later spelt Chen Xiangmei actual birth year 1923 but reported as June 23, 1925 –March 30, 2018.
Also known as Anna Chan Chennault or Anna Chen Chennault, was a war correspondent and prominent Republican member of the US China
Lobby.
She was married to U.S. WWII aviator Claire Chennault."
...........................

Richard Nixon sabotaged the Paris Peace talks in 1968 in order to win the election and because of this, 20,000 more American and millions
of Vietnamese deaths occurred. Mrs. Claire Chennault, aka Anna Chennault, aka “The Dragon Lady” was an important figure in the Republican
Party and was a member of the Republican National Committee.

Aa mentioned above, she was the Chinese wife of General Claire Chennault, the legendary founder of the Flying Tigers and Flying Tigers Airline,
Civil Air Transport (CAT), “which later morphed into Air America. The same airlines John Fahey's companion mentioned as possible escape routes.

In 1968 she was candidate Nixon’s contact with the South Vietnamese government through the South Vietnamese Ambassador to Washington,
Bui Diem.  President Johnson at the time “was adamant about ending the war” and wanted a peace settlement, a later discovery would make
him believe that Nixon's contact was more than she seemed.

On Nov. 2, 1968, an FBI intercept recorded Anna Chennault calling Ambassador Diem to relay a message from ‘the boss’ asking Diem to
‘hold on we are going to win’ and if it hadn't been for National Security Adviser Walt Rostow, Secretary of State Dean Rusk and Secretary
of Defence Clark Clifford, Johnson was going to announce the discovery to the public.
Linking the Nixon campaign to Bobby Kennedy's killing was agreed to be a step too far.

................................................

Whether the female enigma in the polka-dot dress was Shirin Khan and whether Anna Chennault was connected to the assassination is still
hotly debated to this day.
