Groups at the rally included members of the Triangle People’s Assembly, Workers World Party, Industrial Workers of the World, Democratic Socialists of America and the antifa movement. 

I encourage you to research these groups, find out who they are, what they are, their aims and goals... and the history of where they come from. I also encourage you to research the history, development, tactics, strategies and procedures of every single communist movement that has ever taken over a country, just to see if perhaps the same thing may be at play here, in the good ol' USA.

Then research the results of those takeovers. It can be eye-opening.

After the Durham statue was pulled down, protesters walked down East Main Street and blocked the intersection at South Roxboro Street, some holding hands in the middle of the broad intersection.

Dumbass move that they keep repeating. Not only is it illegal to block free passage in public spaces, it's also dangerous I hear, as there are folks around who don't mind mowing you down with their cars if you try to illegally detain them. Can't say that I blame such folks all that much - Reginald Denny, among many many others, took a hell of a beating that changed him forever and utterly ruined him for allowing such folk to block his passage. In military terms, they call that an "ambush", and some folks just won't stand for it.

They'll defend themselves by any means available, including keeping that several thousand pound chunk of metal on the move.
