Confederate statue toppled in North Carolina during anti-racism rally.

Erasing those no longer in the favor of The Party is nothing new. It goes back to at least ancient Egypt, where Queen Hatshepsut was officially erased, her name obliterated from her monuments and statues after her death - all because she was a woman who dared to be a pharaoh.

Some folks never learn - Hatshepsut is still known, probably more so now because of their attempt to erase her.

In more recent times, has the world forgotten Tsar Nicholas, in spite of the Communist party's sincere attempts to erase him - to the extent of wiping his entire blood line from  the Earth? What about Trotsky? They tried to erase even his memory as well, after they used him to gouge their way to the top. Nope, the world still remembers Trotsky.

Moving on 70 years or so, have they managed to erase the memory of Stalin or Lenin simply by pulling down their statues?

Nope. Failed again.

What about pulling down the statue of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad? Did that erase him from the world memory? Nope. Maybe the memory still too fresh, and maybe that stupid shit of pulling down statues doesn't work they way they think. Hey - 3,000 years of solid failure doesn't necessarily mean THIS attempt won't work, right?

Dumbasses.

By all means, liberals! Please continue with your whiny, lame attempts at revisionist history. All you are doing is drawing more attention, solidifying the place in history of that which you wish to erase. It's going to backfire on you, like it always does, always has. It's nothing if not entertaining to watch you screw the pooch...

... again.

Quote:"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.’"

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
