11 Popular Songs the CIA Used to Torture Prisoners in the War on Terror

It was used even before then. In 1989, when we invaded Panama to get Noriega, he ran into the Vatican's embassy. Since we couldn't just invade the embassy (treaty obligations and all that), Operation Nifty Package was initiated, part of which was blasting the embassy 24/7 with sound cannons pumping out high volume, high energy heavy metal. After 10 days of that, the Vatican honcho on site more or less pushed Noriega out the door to make it stop.

Some folks just don't appreciate good music!
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
