Have always wanted to go there ever since I was first in China, but was put off when a friend went there fot the festival and got stuck there for two weeks due to the fact she could not get a ticket out, and was unable to leave.
She spent two weeks in her hotel room huddled by the heater (this was nearly 30 years ago), and no doubt it is very different now.
I dread to think what it is like there for CNY though
