I mean, the guy lies to her in an intensive, elaborate way that has the woman believing
a complete false narrative and then -which I suspect was left out of the article, because of her
doubts, reduces the claims and finally confesses that he had fleeced her of several thousand euros.

What does she do...? She feels sorry for him and his fellow scammers and even goes
as far as eventually sending him to the US for a better lifestyle!
It beggars belief!

A scam doesn't just end because the scammer admits to it, it's just the end of the beginning!
'He purchased one of her paintings and she shipped it to him'... He's buying the damned painting
with her money!!

Is there a handle to slow this crazy carousel enough so I can get off?!
