We'll be waiting On Pins and Needles for your Hand Drawn Pictures of what you've Remote Viewed! RE: Jude's Not so Excellent adventure... - Jude - 07-09-2017 Well, another day is dawning. The dew is on the leaves, birds singing their greetings to the sun and...aw crap! Squirrel just shit on my balcony. Little fucker! Anyways, looks like we're here for another day at least. Have to go re-register at the EVAC center tomorrow and see what's happening for the next 3 days. That's all the planning is right now, 3 days at a time. Many have it worse than us tho. You all know that I have been in prep mode for a few years so I had time to batten down the hatches on the motor-home and restaurant as all I needed to grab was the truck and my tote bins/back packs. Emerg supplies, first aid, tools, camping gear etc. Thankfully I most likely won't need it but if I did I'd be ready. Lesson to all my friends. I'll keep posting as I can and want to thank all of you for your kind words and encouragement. Funny, the only people I reached out to are my sister, a long time friend and you folks. Oops...my accountant as well. Gotta keep real. See ya in a few! Jude And no, I didn't put the US emblems on the bike. lol RE: Jude's Not so Excellent adventure... - Mystic Wanderer - 07-09-2017 Try to keep thinking positive thoughts @"Jude". My husband like your bike to. Still hoping all goes for the best for you both. RE: Jude's Not so Excellent adventure... - Jude - 07-10-2017 Well, a big fuck you and thanks for the cameras moment for the BC Premier. Cristy Clark promised to allocate 100 million to help us and that all evacuees would receive $600 immediately through their bank to help us. Just register with the Red Cross she said. After spending 5 hours on the phone and 5 hours trying to reg online this was the result: Site was down and not able to reg. Finally got a call back after leaving my number and they had no idea what I was talking about. Evan after I told him to LOOK AT THE FUCKING NEWS!!! Here: http://bc.ctvnews.ca/clark-announces-100m-for-wildfire-evacuees-rebuilding-efforts-1.3495559 And this is what we're getting: Talked to someone else and they said the funds were to be released after 3-4 days. I then informed him that we had 1-200 people up here on the mountain, some with no cars, many with no way to access money, kids, no food vouchers AND on our last night stay at the hotels. What are we supposed to do? Answer: Not my department sir. FUCK!!!!! RE: Jude's Not so Excellent adventure... - guohua - 07-10-2017 Department is it then Asshole!? I would have been mad to, very aggravating I would think. So, now you have to call back tomorrow and find be transferred to the correct department for food and housing. What about the old people and kids who need medication? That is just Fucked Up! I hope you get more help and answers tomorrow. "Immediate Help" means just that. NOT 3-4 days when people need it now. There will be a few hundred people kicked out of hotels here tomorrow with no answers and no where to go. Quote:Anyone registered with the Red Cross will immediately receive $600 via direct transfer to their bank account. The local government will grab their monies first, you may need to stay on them about where your money is and what do they know. RE: Jude's Not so Excellent adventure... - BIAD - 07-10-2017 A smug, virtue-signalling, media-grabbing Liberal. Christy Clark is another of those useless 'just-there' people who can never appreciate a situation unless it directly effects her... and it seems the only effects she concerns herself with is money. Christy Clark received $277,000 since 2011 from B.C. Liberals 'B.C. Premier Christy Clark has collected more than $277,000 from the provincial Liberal Party since 2011 to top up her government salary, the party disclosed Wednesday. In addition to her $195,000 salary as Premier, Ms. Clark has received an escalating annual amount from the Liberals – $50,000 for 2015 and this year. The figures were released for the first time in response to a Globe and Mail report on the Premier’s stipend. The practice puts British Columbia in exclusive company: Only one other Premier receives such a payment. In Saskatchewan, Brad Wall has collected about $37,000 from his Saskatchewan Party every year since taking office in 2007, which tops up his government salary of about $166,000. Payments from parties were once more widespread but have declined over the past decade due to tighter party finances and the passage of laws banning the practice. The revelation about Ms. Clark’s extra payments follows Globe and Mail reports that she has been appearing at small, exclusive fundraisers at which patrons pay large amounts of money for access to the Premier...' '...Ms. Clark said there is no connection between her party’s fundraising success and the amount of money she receives from the party, and dismissed Mr. Eby’s characterisation that she is effectively collecting a commission on her fundraising efforts for her party. “All kinds of people accuse me of all kinds of things,” the Premier said...' SOURCE: RE: Jude's Not so Excellent adventure... - BIAD - 07-10-2017 Just some more... Premier visits B.C. wildfires, promises $100M in relief funding for evacuees. 'B.C. Premier Christy Clark and premier-designate John Horgan arrived in Kamloops, B.C. Sunday to meet with some of the people evacuated from their homes in the province's Interior as a result of wildfires. Clark announced a $100 million relief fund that will provide affected "communities and residents the resources needed to rebuild." The fund will be managed by the Red Cross and provide emergency funds of $600 per individual to evacuees who have lost property. Those seeking relief funds must first register with the Red Cross, officials said. Roughly 9,500 people have been pushed out of their homes since Friday. Clark spoke to some of those people in Kamloops, acknowledging the long road ahead . "We're doing our best, we're doing our best," said Clark to one evacuee outside an emergency centre set up at Thompson Rivers University. "We've got everything out there we possibly can." Relief funds available Todd Stone, who is serving as minister responsible for Emergency Management B.C. in the caretaker government said the relief money won't make up for the fact that some people lost their homes, 'but it will certainly help in the immediate term. Evacuees who wish to apply for relief need not have home insurance, officials said. Applications can be made emergency stations in Kamloops, 100 Mile House, Williams Lake or Prince George -or electronically, with the funds distributed via E-Transfer. '...More firefighters on the way. Clark said 360 firefighters from across Canada would be joining the effort in the coming days, and the federal government has approved the B.C. government's request for help. "As these fires rage, we are making decisions on the fly every day, and changing those decisions sometimes in terms of priorities every day," said Clark. "We just all are praying and hoping that the weather works in favour, that the wind is blowing in the right direction."...'
