The films of Luc Besson
#1
Sometimes it's hard to put a face to films, as a huge action movie fan who loves all the major ones from the 80's and 90's, I think this guy is overlooked or atleast unknown when it comes to newer(ish) action movies. But he's been the writer behind some real good ones, many that I'm guessing most people don't even know, but have enjoyed.

I'm going through some of his old films, I haven't seen them in awhile, but if you are an action fan you've no doubt seen a few and if you like them, check out his others. I'm sure some of these films have been enjoyed by many of you.

I've seen them all! Well almost?

The Fifth Element is among my all time top favorites and I just watched Leon the Professor again a couple months ago. Natalie Portman was a baby!

Lucy? Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman. What's to not like?

Valerian was okay and not as horrible as everybody said. I enjoyed it.

Transporter? Jason Statham. 'Nuff said!

Taken. Who will ever forget the classic line "I will hunt you down and kill you"?

Point of No Return isn't ringing any bells. I've probably seen it but you know, CRS disease and all.  tinybiggrin

I've always been a fan of Besson's films. A lot of them are underrated and himself, in my view, has always been underrated as a producer/director.

Leeloo mooooltipass c'mon. Travolta is this wicked role in From Paris with love, this skinny little ball of fury in Point of no return.

In my top five movie makers of all times. A genius at what he does.

All top notch in my book. I remember when The Fifth Element came out on Blu-ray, one of the first batch of movies put on Blu-ray that I purchased. I liked La Femme Nikita series and had a hard crush on Bridget Fonda in "Point of No Return."

American Flagg! comic series set in the year 2031 has been in the works since 2017 and seems to have disappeared or we gotta wait 9 years. A precursor to Dark Knight & Watchmen.
