One large U.S. company (United Fruit) wanted to have a complete monopoly over the growing and transportation of Bananas throughout the world. To maintain their position they bribed politicians and shot down/killed workers who wanted a day off a week and a place to live; workers made little or no wages... One of our long lost Generals "Smedley Butler" was so sickened by what he became aware of he made the famous statement, "War is a Racket!"
