727Sky - Always enjoy listening to Randall Carlson's catastrophism discussions and thought his "Atlantis" series was really good. I've assumed for years that were overdue for a cosmic punch which would give us a natural reset vice manufactured clownish WEF reset.

I luv the smell of doom porn on a Saturday morning. tinycool

I have no idea who the guy in the first video is. He seems to have some things right, and other things entirely wrong. The magnetic field of Earth IS weakening and accelerating to change it's position and orientation, and it IS what protects us from the electrical effects of solar flares... but he also mentioned several time that he expected "the Earth to flip", which ain't gonna happen. Never has, never will. What happens is that the Earth's magnetic field flips, and compasses suddenly point opposite of where they pointed before, but the Earth itself maintains the same orientation. It's a function if the iron core of Earth spinning and swirling and coming out of a swirl with polarity opposite of what it was before. That has happened several times in Earth's history. That affects the internal compasses of birds, and magnetic compasses, but actual directions remain unchanged - the only thing that changes is what compasses point to, not the actual surface features.

GPS directions would remain the same, unless a flare burned out some of the satellites.

I've never heard of a "micro-nova". Novas are bad for all living things, and tend to sterilize the space around them for several light years. In the event of a solar nova, none of us would be left alive to see what changed, so magnetic pole shifts would be the least of our worries.

The guy on the right in the second video ("Randall"?) is a dead-ringer for my brother in law. They could be twins.

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

A micronova is a type of thermonuclear explosion on the surface of a white dwarf much smaller than the power of a nova.

Micronova was first described a few months ago.

Everyone has at least one Doppelgänger. LOL. Randall Carlson is a cool intriguing science guy on catastrophism history.

So it's not a real concern here then, since the sun is not a white dwarf, and will not be one for another 4.5 billion years. I love me some doom porn, but they ought to try to at least make it believable...

There are those who are now saying micro nova producing stars come in all shapes and sizes. In the last few years they have actually seen normal stars shedding mass like a nova yet the star remains.

Several/ a few/some researchers believe our sun produces a mini or micro nova every 12,000 years according to what they are claiming as geological findings. It really does not have to be a mini nova if earth's protective magnetic shield is further weakened as any old Carrington type event would do nicely as far as sending people "back in time" before there was electricity and power tools. There is some debate about what happens to those who do not have a handy cave in which to take shelter in for a few days.... depending on just how strong the 12,000 year event is ?? You and I being old will probably miss the big event but that is the luck of the draw.... lucky lucky lucky even though curiosity is strong in this one.

I wouldn't be so sure.

Lots of textbooks that just don't tell _everything_.
