Newest Addition To Our Home
#1
I had my Fridays mixed up but she finally arrived a couple of days ago. I had to work yesterday so she hung out with my brother for a little while longer. Of course he didn’t mind at all because he’d gotten pretty attached to her on the drive over.

I only have one pic of her so far because she is very clingy and I can’t even get an inch away from her. She’s settling in fast though so hopefully she’ll become more independent soon. I’m also hoping she’ll bond with my husband because he’s the main reason I wanted to get her. I know he misses the bond he had with our old man Shepherd. It’ll happen though. She’s only a baby and will have a lot of learning to do.

She’s younger than I thought she’d be, she’s 8 weeks today, so I’ve got my hands full with her right now. All my other dogs were quite a bit older when I got them. They already love her though. The cats of course merely tolerate her, much like they do everyone else.

Well I’m sure y’all are ready to see her so.... Everyone, meet Peggy Howler (I got permission from @"BIAD" to change around the name of my favorite character) and she definitely lives up to the Howler part of her name  tinylaughing

Thanks. I’d about given up finding one but when my brother sent me pictures of her and her siblings I immediately fell in love with her. I was like a kid waiting for Christmas waiting for her to get here.

Haha yes!

I’m sure there will be lots of fun in the form of chewed up shoes and yet another big dog running through the house knocking stuff over but the cuddles will make up for it.

I can assure you that the unconditional love bank will get frequent withdrawals.

I realized how powerful that love can be when my Yellow Lab Charlie stole a whole rack of ribs, ate them, and hid the bones under the table that had a long tablecloth.

The fact that she made through her first year, was proof positive.  minusculebiggrin

Careful! I might come to your home and steal that cutie pie away. She looks special   tinybiggrin

Puppies are my weakness. I can't say no.

I hope she has a long happy life with y'all.

I just saw this and I have to warn you that at this point you’d probably bring her spoiled butt right back if you took her. She is a handful lol.

Agreed, great looking pup.  Just from the one pic she looks intelligent.  Enjoy her company.  Looking forward to updates,

Kind regards,

You got a ways to go. My brats turn four years old in July, and they have not ditched the brat phase yet.

@"Bally002" That’s why I picked her. My brother sent pictures of all of them and with her there was just something about her eyes that made her seem so intelligent. I still can’t believe how much I loved her before she ever got here.

I was actually trying to post a quick update but my internet is so slow this evening that I couldn’t get any pics to load. I will get them posted soon.

Don’t I know it lol. One of my girls, she’s a German Shepherd/Pit mix, is around four now and is still bad. I used to say she broke me and I’d never get another dog, she’s so stubborn and in to everything. Then someone gave my hubby a bully mix then I had to have little Miss Howler. I guess I’m like @"ABNARTY" and puppies are my weakness too.

I took this picture today while out for a walk and noticed just how much Peggy has changed. It seems fast. I guess it kind of crept up on me. I miss tiny Peggy.

Tongue
@"NightskyeB4Dawn" yes she is still just as cute. She’s a lot of chaos now though. Well she was then too but she was little. Now when she runs through the house at 3am, looking for one of the other dogs so she can chomp on them, it sounds like a stampede. The poor black and white dog is her favorite to play with and she just about wears her out lol.

I remember my grandma had one of those. Literally ran ruts into the yard. Best snake dog you've ever seen.

Luke doesn't make much noise. If he moves ... there's something there. If he woofs a little ... there are people out there. The only time he barks is when I'm chasin' him around in his yard.

All mine are loud. My husband calls them the dog tornado lol. It’s a good description, they are always running in a circle biting each other’s legs. They knock over anything in their path, even me a few times, because they don’t watch where they’re going. Sometimes it’s complete chaos.

My mom was over last night when they started up and she couldn’t stop laughing when I finally yelled “No fun in the house!” and they all laid down and got quiet.
