What's going on in Rocketman territory?

Quote:“North Korea is not sending signals it is open to diplomacy, but waiting for it to do so is a serious mistake.”

It’s been a busy 2022 for North Korea. After a record-setting spate of missile launches in the first month of the year, things quieted down during the Beijing Winter Olympics. Then North Korea tested an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), the first such test in five years. Satellite imagery has analysts concerned that a nuclear test is on the way as well, which would bring the Korean Peninsula back to the bad old days of “fire and fury” seen in 2017.

Furthermore, the increasing emphasis on an evolving nuclear doctrine is partially in response to some of the harsher rhetoric coming out of Seoul these days, from the incoming Yoon administration. It also serves as a sort of reassurance that, because of its nuclear weapons, North Korea will not suffer the kind of invasion Ukraine is experiencing now or the fate of other non-nuclear armed states against nuclear armed adversaries in the past.

What's up with her message (underlined) here. Seems like a soft jab to UKR giving up it's nukes at the arm twisting of the West.

Quote:North Korea’s Next Nuclear Test: How Big Could It Be? (38 North, April 29, 2022)

As North Korea continues to excavate a new portal (entrance) approximately 50 meters east of the original (now demolished) South Portal, there is wide speculation that North Korea could conduct a nuclear test soon. Based on the terrain, geology, topography, and suspected tunnel schematics, the two drifts at this southern tunnel complex are estimated to be capable of containing explosions around 50 to 120 kilotons, respectively.

Certainly, yield limit estimates do not mean the North Koreans will test to the maximum available capacity or tell us what specifically they may be planning to do next. But it does indicate that this tunnel complex, as depicted in the North Korean schematic map, is incapable of containing explosions the size of the 2017 test. Nonetheless, if Kim Jong Un is working to fully weaponize and proof test North Korea’s tactical nuclear warheads or other battlefield weapons, reaccessing and restoring the depicted tunnels to working conditions would likely be more than sufficient.
More details with maps at the link.

All someone has to do is take a few of those American made weapons in Ukraine and toss them over the N. Korea border. Shit would go hot real fast.

Dunno who runs this account, but it's amusing...

If I were a 2 bit dictator of a small country and had friends like N. Korea does I too would be sucking up for the tech and ability to go nuclear. Nothing says, "do not mess with me" like a few ICBMs tipped with nuclear or hydrogen bombs IMO. We need to get off this planet as a species so we can have enter planetary wars instead of local stuff!! minusculebeercheers for it seems where ever we go wars are soon to follow....if history is any indication.. minusculebonker

Don't you find it somewhat odd, and also very telling, that not a single one of the DPRK tweets make a single mention of Biden??

And even more importantly, that all of the tweets seem to refer to Trump???  Even Kim "Porky" Jong Un knows Trump isn't president anymore.  Why refer to him, and ridicule him, if he's powerless to do anything about it from a foreign policy perspective?  (That's a rhetorical question).

Why?  Because, Porky doesn't even recognize Biden, or his administration, as even existing.  Making fun of someone who's brain-dead is only fun for a couple minutes, and then you realize they're just staring at the Sun.

Doesn't really matter who made those tweets, the message is pretty clear...Biden and his administration aren't real, they're not in power, and they pose no threat at all.  I'm not suggesting Trump is in power here, because I don't think any of us really know who really IS in charge, but we can be pretty certain it's not Trump.  The point being...Biden and his administration don't even exist to NK.

That's a pretty spooky message right there, if you ask me!

That did not dawn on me till you mentioned it. Yes, excellent observation and agree with you. I been trying to figure out who or what in the hell has been running that clown house since Jan 20, 2021. None of those people on camera everyday are in charge of anything, imo. Our imperial gov't has got to be the laughing stock round-table conversation piece in Geo-political leader circles.
