Oleg Ivanovich Yankovsky (Russian: Оле́г Ива́нович Янко́вский; 23 February 1944 – 20 May 2009) was a Soviet and Russian actor who had excelled in psychologically sophisticated roles of modern intellectuals.[1] In 1991, he became, together with Sofia Pilyavskaya, the last person to be named a People's Artist of the USSR.

The Arzamas explosion, also known as the Arzamas train disaster, was a railway accident that occurred on June 4, 1988 in ArzamasGorky OblastSoviet Union, when an explosion at a railway crossing killed 91 people and injured 1,500.[1]

May 31, 1988 at the plant. In Sverdlovsk in Dzerzhinsk, 10 freight cars were loaded with explosives intended for mining operations.



On June 3, three of them headed south of the country in freight cars № 3115. The first all-metal car contained 30 tons of TNT in checkers packed in corrugated cardboard boxes and 286 kg of cumulative detonators in fiberboard boxes. The second, similar to the first, carried 27.28 tons of octogen and 30.4 tons of phlegmatized hexogen, packed in six-ply paper bags. The third car was wooden. It contained 5 tons of rock ammonite and 25 tons of ammonal in paper cartridges sealed with cellophane and packed in cardboard boxes.



A freight train of 54 cars at a speed of about 22 km per hour approached the 232nd km of the Soloveyka-Arzamas-1 line of the Gorky Railway, 324 meters from the Arzamas-1 station ...
