Introductory Proviso: I’M BRINGING THIS BACK FROM THE TRUMP YEAR 2018. BECAUSE IT’S TIME TO THINK ON THESE FIRST THINGS.

The following essay on possible gun confiscation is a purely conjectural gedankenexperiment about the future that extrapolates from recent history and current trends. Nothing herein is seditious (per 18 U.S. Code § 2384), nor a call to arms, nor a threat to our government or to any individual, agency, or group.

Wow that was a lot of numbers alright but worth the read. It's very interesting to see cold hard math on the matter; it brings reality into perspective. What they think they can do vs what actually stands in front of them. And it's big.

I don't mean this post as cold rain, but simply another opinion on the matter. 

Part 1: It is true the ATF does not have track of many firearms in the US. The ATF is now ramping up their efforts to rectify the first step in that short coming. They are directing ALL firearms be registered. Even if you have some homemade contraption, it will need to be SN-ed. Do you intend to make your own firearm or suppressor? Any of the main parts you make it out of need to SN-ed and registered. 

The ATF is unilaterally expanding the definitions of things written into law by Congress. Some argue they can't do that be cause it violates the law which only Congress can determine. Unfortunately, we have plenty of examples of cabinet sub-agencies doing their own thing while Congress sits by and does nothing. Think the FBI. Think J6. Congress will not protect us on this one. That crowd cannot define a woman but can define a firearm to mean anything they want.

Part 2: Guns don't kill people, people kill people. It's 100% true. While we may have ~400 million firearms in this country, it doesn't matter. 

Think vaccine passports. Think medical mandates. IMHO, the vast majority of Americans fall into two camps on this one. Most are apathetic to their freedom and their liberties. Tell them to jump off cliff and they would do it. The other camp are the self-righteous "snitches". You have seen them the last two years for yourself. Don't like what the state is doing? Well, you are a Grandma killer. Not wearing a mask? You should be cut off from society and left to die. You are unacceptable. 

Think of the fever pitch that crowd could be worked up to? Think Covid Witch Trials x1000 and nary a shot need be fired. Wanna' own a firearm? Here is a list of so many regulations, there is no way anyone could comply with them all even if they wanted to and it's so expensive no one can afford it. Want to avoid any of the laws? Then you are a terrorist. CNN will tell the zombies so. The pro-authoritarian toadies are already in place. In your neighborhood, your place of work, your church, etc. Better grow some thick skin.

***I really hope I am wrong but this is what I see shaping up. More governmental over-reach, less Constitution, and the heavy cultivation of those weak of heart and mind.

Governments know this the world over and even Russia is having to relearn this truism in Ukraine ....An orthodox military strategy is rarely going to succeed against a WELL SUPPLIED long term insurgency using asymmetric tactics. It does not matter how technologically advanced that military might be; it does not matter how many planes, tanks, and drones they might have. Eventually over time they WILL lose by pure attrition in the face of a guerrilla resistance. The secret is to stay hidden and away from a frontal attack and when they turn their backs cut their hamstrings or their heads off.
