A lot of people like to feel they are doing something important.

Nothing that costs them anything, mind you. But something highly visible. 

Because if you do these important things, then you yourself are important. 

And when you know you don't really know anything, faking the importance is way easier than rectifying ignorance.  

I'm guessing that's why so many get highly emotional over the stuff. It's a matter of being significant or not.

I am not a get on board with everyone else kind of person. Kind of why I was never popular. Oh, I know how to blend in, but once things got deep, people would run. Even my family is fake. We talk about the weather and gas prices, or how others are doing. But that's it basically. 

This Ukraine / Russia stuff going on , I am still on the fence about it all. What about all the other conflicts going on in the world? Why the focus on this? 

To summarize, I really don't care much for anything but the survival of myself and my wife and my kids and grand kids.

I hate all the virtue signalling bleeding heart mantras that are all about self aggrandisment. The hypocrisy of the political war mongers is especially difficult to listen to given that the true agenda is endless war and threat of war. What chance for peace in the world when the most powerful nation maintains it's hegemony by any means possible despite the cost to others. 
We all see the hand that the US has played in this current crisis. It would be pretty hard not as the same plan has been used succesfully across the ME and elsewhere over the decades.
Is there a way out of this mess (and not just regards Ukraine)? I doubt it. Too many economies are tied up in weapons manufacture and the money men and power brokers hold sway.

Yep.  A government staff who knows they will be _immediately_ burned at the stake if they do anything other than protect the rights of The People.

Tell ya ... America has rested peacefully in her bed at night for more than a hundred years.  No one has been able to threaten her shores since the Revolution.  That's about to change.  That's why 0bama drew down our strategic nuclear arsenal.  It's an invitation, as is the psychological screening of the people who are supposed to ensure a launch when so ordered.

You are smart. You are not following the bread crumbs, and you are not blindly believing the narrative.

You will be seen as a threat. Not a physical threat, a psychological threat.

You may get others thinking. The thing that scares them them, are people that have the ability to see past through their deceptions. The thing that terrorizes them, is the people that can see, can recognize the deception, and can refuse to play the game.

It makes their bowels loose, when those people start opening the eyes of others and start motivating others to pull out of the game.

It is hard to win a game when you have no pawns.
